Emma Rawicz

Emma Rawicz is a real discovery, "a name on everyone’s lips at the moment" (BBC 3), "a rising star" (London Jazz) and "a force to be reckoned with" (Jazzwise).

Although still very young, the saxophonist has already sown the seeds of a great career, and can already be considered part of the fantastic, vibrant British scene that has left its mark on the whole world.

The album title "Chroma" (Greek for "color") is highly significant : Emma Rawicz is a synesthete, meaning that she always involuntarily and simultaneously experiences music through a second sensory pathway, color. All the pieces, with one exception, are named after relatively unknown colors.
