Hugo Diaz Quartet

At the confluence of the different currents that have driven his artistic development, Hugo Diaz (Propulsion 2023 winner) unveils a singular project through a series of original compositions. These reveal a rich writing style, surprising metrics and refined modal ranges, leaving room for sound research and the expression of the various soloists. Supported by a trio in osmosis, the sonorities of the soprano saxophonist are sometimes triturated by controlled electronics.
