November

A joyful breath has been spreading between our walls for a few weeks: the return to culture is going well! After a busy month of October, we’re going to keep going: the fall will be intense!
As for the usual programming, we remain on safe values, with four album releases (including the one of Jelle Van Giel to open the month) and six international projects: in addition to the all-star project of Frank Woeste, the Toulouse nutty quartet Pulcinella will come finally perform at home - after three postponements - as much to say that we can not wait! We also allow ourselves a very nice focus on the stage of our Luxembourg neighbors, with four concerts in two days (let’s call it a mini-festival): Claire Parsons, Arthur Possing, Michel Meis and Reis / Demuth / Wiltgen, a real pleasure for your ears, ladies and gentlemen!
Many concerts, therefore, but also two jam-sessions, lindy-hop lessons, lectures on the history of jazz, the evenings of the Jazz Station Big Band and Lundis d’Hortense, and above all the great novelty of this event. year: the River Jazz Festival has new dates!
Indeed, tired of the incessant postponements in our programming, we have decided to postpone the edition scheduled for January to November and December 2021. An always rich and curious program, which gives pride of place to local artists, but opens also on beautiful discoveries.
On the Jazz Station side, very very heavy: the new album from Basile Rahola Quartet (November 27), the new album from the Jazz Station Big Band (December 2), a double bill from Switzerland with Roofer then Christophe Irniger Trio feat. Ben Van Gelder (December 3), the Franco-Belgian quartet of Géraud Portal feat. Antoine Pierre and Jean-Paul Estiévenart (December 4), Raphaëlle Brochet & Philippe Aerts (December 10) and finally the legendary River Jazz Night: carte blanche to the volcanic Fabian Fiorini (December 11)! From November 25 to December 11, there will therefore be fifteen concerts, a joint exhibition and many other little things that will mark the beginnings of this end of the year.
To your agendas!
