Piergiorgio Pirro Quartet

Fascinated by spectralism, pianist Piergiorgio Pirro surrounds himself with cosmopolitan musicians who look both towards the tradition of African-American music and towards the future. In this project, he uses the LinnStrument, an electronic controller with which he adds supernatural resonances and beats, transforming the piano into a hybrid acoustic/ electric instrument. The music offered is both familiar and surprising. We feel nuances of blues, South American music and danceable rhythms.
